Do Not Try This At Home

As men grow older, they often develop problems with their prostate gland. This is why proctologists send their kids to expensive private schools.

A regular physical examination -- yes, THAT one -- is highly recommended to detect cancer and other problems in the early stages. In an effort to promote an alternative to the dreaded finger probe, an outfit called AdMeTech has produced a cartoon-based ad campaign.

The star is Prosty, The Spokesgland.

I kid you not.

The catchy jingle planned for the first ads begins like this:

Prosty the Spokesgland
Is a prostate gland, we're told
Buried deep inside largely out of sight
He's ignored by young and old

And it ends (or should I say bottoms out?) like this:

Lumpety lump lump
